One MOMO evening!

Hi!!

Recently for one of my weekends, I had been to my cousin’s place!!

I went there, fully tired and exhausted. That Saturday night went like the falling star and Sunday had arrived!!

It’s our tradition that on Sundays we girls dress up neatly and presentably to pose for pics. It makes them feel good you know!! Whole week of sitting in those chairs, working from home, cooking, cleaning, sleeping and repeating life! Give it all a break!!

But this weekend we planned to go out to eat some good snacks. My cousin, enthusiastic as always, with the help of her friend planned to eat Momos. She had cravings for it since a long time actually!! So we were all nicely dressed up, put on our mascaras and lipsticks; That’s it, we are simple girls you know ;)

The time was set, the home was clean, the works were done, we were ready, but our endless posing for the photo session didn’t end due to which we ended up getting ample amount of scoldings from my cousin’s friend. Then we started from Basapura, Electronic City in search of MOMOS. My elder sister (cousin) and I went in her scooty and younger one and her friend in the other. We started by 4.30 in the evening from home. Obviously we didn’t know the route and had to wait, follow, speed up along with the other scooty.

Finally after 20 minutes or so we reached a place called Toping Twist, HSR Layout. I guess the place had just opened but there was a small crowd around waiting for their hot and steaming momos. We safely reached there, took our seats on the stairs and started discussing about who would try which momos. My elder cousin goes to gym and follows a diet pattern, my younger cousin, her friend and I are total foodies and wanted to try out everything from that place. Though being a hardcore non veggie, my cousin’s friend ordered only veg momos along with us. We thought we would take it easy and ordered 3 plates at first; schezwan veggies momos, fried paneer momos and steamed paneer momos. Then we started to chit chat about some random stuffs. The place is tiny with only 2 people working inside, so I thought the orders would take time. I had guessed it right. We were served almost after 10-15 minutes, but we had all the time in the world that day to wait. As soon as the hot, steaming, mouth watering momos came into hand, we instantly snatched one from each plate and started to eat due to which we ended up burning our tongues, very badly!! Call us by any name, but that moment we were so hungry that we almost forgot that we were on roads and people could watch.

After burning our tongues and getting into senses, we slowly started to enjoy momos, with small bites dipped in mayo and momos chutney!! But by the end of first round neither our tummy nor our tongue were satisfied, we planned to get onto field and go for another round. Even my strict diet following sister broke her diet and ate 2 momos by then. The second round had Barbecued vegetable momos, steamed vegetable momos and steamed paneer momos. Once again we waited for another 10 minutes for the momos literally finger licking. Meanwhile we clicked some more selfies, posted it on media, jealoused people around, begged for pens to write on tissues ( remember The tale of tissues?? NO!! Read here then ), laughed out so loud that we embarrassed ourself a bit but we were making a small memory which would be carried for life, so yea who cares?? Then our momos came, we bobbed (sprung) onto the momos finishing them within no minutes. Contended with the momos in our belly, we billed for it and started from there.

As the 2nd scooty had no documents, they had take up another road from us. We reached home by 9 and finished the unfinished chores. My tummy is always half empty; day or night! Monday or Sunday. At 10, I started getting craves for Maggie. 4 packets were lying at home. I went to kitchen, opened the packets, boiled the water, emptied the packets into the water and waited and waited and waited!! Then when it was finally done and aroma was all over the house my cousin came looking for it. We sat out and shared the Maggie from the same plate. That was such a pleasant moment!! Chilling night with steaming Maggie! What else does one need?? Satiated life!!

Once done, went back to bed, set up alarms, cocooned into the blanket and went to sleep with a beam on face.

We try and run around everything in life to find the satisfaction and forget that satisfaction is more of a path which we find everywhere, rather a destination or a goal. One can find happiness when that wind hits the face while riding late night or when the water plays with your feet on the shores or brook or when the first rain drops fall onto the mud which gives a immensely beautiful smell or anything!! Yet we run behind so many things which we think gives us peace but ends up taking our sleep!

That’s it for this week!!

Exploring Bangalore is still on!!

Cheerios!!

Until next time :)
